We have done our best in providing a facility that is safe and secure by adding well-lit parking lots and loading docks. We have added the security of having a closed circuit camera that is active 24 hours a day. This system monitors the facility inside and out. Since we have covered the outside of the facility, we will go over steps that will ensure your items stay as fresh as the day you put them in.
The first you need to do to keep your items safe from deterioration is to ensure that you are not storing items that are sensitive to temperature or humidity. If this is the case consider using one of our climate controlled self storage units. These units will keep your items within a specified range of temperature and/or humidity. Having these items stored in a stable climate will help preserve your belongings until you are able to retrieve them.
We recommend that you stack your heavier items on the bottom and ensure that the boxes are not over packed so much that they would cause them to be too heavy and dangerous. Remember that these items will be there for a while. Over time a heavy box on top of an improperly packed box can cause the improperly packed box to collapse and spill onto other boxes possibly causing them to topple and cause a chain reaction.
